EMBRACE THE VAN DER WAL EFFECT!
Click on picture for the 10-minute educational video.
The Van Der Wal Effect is a simple explanation of the complex connection between visual and auditory memory and making mistakes (and how to avoid them), which I have observed and researched for decades as a mental health professional working in an educational setting.
Writing a paper about this phenomenon years ago prompted me to create what I hope is an engaging and interesting educational video that will facilitate conversation and foster improved learning.
As an undergrad a long time ago, I was a mechanical engineering student for three years before changing to social psychology. I learned in chemistry there is van der Waals Equation and in physics there is van der Waals Forces, derived by Johannes Diderik van der Waals. Welcome to The Van Der Wal Effect!
